HEAD OF SCHOOL
From working with young students during the years, one thing become crystal clear for me very quickly: Education is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor.
Since 2000, I have been an educator and have worked with children from early childhood to sixth grade. As a fellow Montessorian myself, my approach to education has evolved over the years as I have come to understand early childhood development and education. Formal teaching methods do not always work for every child, and there are things to love about child development at every age. I believe non-traditional learning methods with self-directed activities, hands-on learning and collaborative experiences create a well-rounded education. At MindSprout, we teach our students using the Montessori method in our curriculum that’s tailored to their needs.
In early 2019, I used my education experience and started tutoring preschool and elementary-aged children. I hold an M. Ed and have experience in public schools, private schools, and special education. I am certified in EC-6th, gifted and talented, English as a second language, and have Montessori training.
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, there was an increased need of socialization for children. MindSprout Montessori started as a tutoring service and has evolved into a private school providing comprehensive, hybrid-style learning for homeschoolers using the Montessori method.
I’m proud to be one of the only Montessori hybrid schools in the country.
Helping Minds Grow
There isn’t one simple solution to reaching young minds. It takes a personal approach to spark a lifelong desire to learn. MindSprout Montessori understands there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all model for helping young children grow and develop a genuine passion for learning. We approach every student as an individual, and we develop lesson plans that cater to their learning style. We provide our students and their parents the tools to blossom and grow intellectually. Through tailored lesson plans and personal attention, we plant the seeds that sprout into a lifelong passion for learning.
